    Deqing has long been known for beautiful scenery. In the western part of the county, Mogan Mountain , a state-level scenic spot, is one of th e most famous summer resorts in China . UP to now, a complete silk production system has taken shape, involving spinning and weaving, dyeing and printing , and silk garment production . As one of the major producers of silk cocoons in China . The annual output value of Deqing's silk cocoons takes 8.7percent of the county's annual agricultural output value. Raw silk, silk fabrics and silk garment are exported to more than 50 countries and regions, including the US , Europe, Japan ,and Hongkong.

INDUSTRY

   The county's industry is based in biomedical engineering, new textiles, quality machinery, new type building materials and is composed of over 271 enterprises. Among them 26 enterprises have an output of a hundred billion and submit a tax of 10 million. AGRICULTURE

   The landscape use ration is 25.4:74.6 for grain to textiles production. There are four main industries: seafood, bamboo shoot cultivation , livestock farming , and silkworm breeding, as well as some upcoming industries, such as flower nurseries. Transportation Network

   Deqing County is the pearl of the Hangzhou ：CJiaxing-Huzhou Flatlands , located in the belly of the Yangtze Delta, 160km from Shanghai , 280km from Nanjing and 39km from the provincial capital ,Hangzhou.Deqing has a very convenient transportation foundation, the Hangzhou-Nanjing expressway and the in-the building expressway,104 national road,09 provincial road, Xuanzhou-Hangzhou railway all cut through the city. Power supply

   Up to now, the county has built up 12 power substations at the level of 220kv, 110kv, and 35kv. Their capacities make a total of 543,100KVA. There are 4 thermal power plants and 23 small hydropower stations in the county with a total capacity of 42,000KV.

Water supply

   There are three waterworks with a daily capacity of 60,000 tons, 30,000tons and 20,000tons respectively in the three main towns. The water pipelines lead to each enterprise. Drawn from the Mogan Lake , the water is of sufficient and good quality, reaching grade quality criteria of surface water and especially suitable for industries requiring quality water such as electronic and fine processing industries.
